James Yawn is the youngest son of 8 children born and raised in Telfair County He graduated High School in 1994. Following High School he attended Ben Hill Tech and received a diploma in Diesel Mechanics. He then went to work for the State of Georgia. James retired from the State of Georgia after 25 years of service on January 1, 2020 to fulfill his dream of being a full time taxidermist. James is a member of the Georgia Taxidermist Association and is certified in Gameheads and Mammals. He has currently competed in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida in the Professional Division. His wife Christie Yawn specializes in Habitats.
